Registration App

We currently accept payments through, Apple pay, American Express, China Union Pay, Diners Club, Discover, Google pay, Japan Credit Bureau (JCB), Mastercard and Visa.

To make the donation flow seamless and fast when donating. You can however choose to use Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Yes, you can change your card details after registration.

To ensure that those using our App and platform meet our age restriction which is 16 years and over.

If you are a taxpayer and donate to a charity, the charity can claim an extra 25% of your donation at no extra cost to you. You must however agree to the Giftaid declaration. Visit the HMRC website for more information.

If you do not accept the Giftaid declaration, the charity you donate to will not be able to claim the extra 25% on your donation.

Yes. You can change it while donating or in settings.

Yes, it is important. Your email is your user ID for logging in. Also, he system automatically sends a thank you email constructed by the Donee every time you donate to that Donee.

Stripe is the gateway we use to handle all the financial transactions on the platform

Your card details are stored securely on the Stripe platform, so that you don’t have to enter your card details when donating.

Yes. Stripe is one of the most trusted financial transaction gateways in the world.

iDonatio uses the AWS infrastructure. All the personal data, details, and documents you supply are stored securely on the AWS robust and secure infrastructure. We use the most robust security provided by AWS.

To be registered with Stripe – which is needed to use this platform – you must agree to Stripe’s Terms and Conditions.

A Donor can only register with iDonatio via the iDonatio App.

You can only register once using the iDonatio App on any device. You can also use any device with the iDonatio App installed to donate to any Donee registered with iDonatio.

Some of the Donor’s details are visible to the Donee. See our Privacy Policy

This is to enable iDonatio to identify and know who you are. It also forms part of our Know-your-client requirements as required by Stripe.

This is to enable iDonatio to identify and authenticate the Donee with the Charity Commission. This is also a requirement by Stripe to establish your charity status.

Refunds

Refunds are up to the Donees. They are not obliged to refund you part or the whole donation. Ensure that you are sure you want to donate the amount before you confirm.

All refunds requests are made directly to the Donee if the Donee agrees to give a refund. Contact the Donee directly quoting the donation ID of the donation.

The Donee will inform you how long the refund will take once they agree to give you a refund.

An anonymous donation cannot be refunded because the Donee does not have access to your details and refunds are done outside the platform.

Giving refunds is up to the Donee and it is outside of the iDonatio platform. Charities should check with their regulatory body on rules about refunds.

All refunds will be less the transaction fees.

Stripe is the gateway we use to handle all the financial transactions on the platform – https://www.stripe.com

Yes, your details are secure with Stripe. Stripe has been audited and certified as a PCI DSS compliance Level 1 service provider, which means it must undergo an annual compliance report and routine security scans and tests. Stripe encrypts all customers’ credit card numbers and stores decryption information separately, which means Stripe can’t see credit card numbers without taking extra steps.

Yes. But we strongly recommend donating using your debit card.

Yes. To use a card not registered, you will need to add the card in Account Manage Account Payment method, before making the donation.

When you donate anonymously, your details are not shown to the Donee. Your donation will be marked anonymous.

Yes, go to Account Manage Account Download Donation History

Idonatio London.

In the Donees Tab, select the button, you can then scan the Donee’s QR code or enter the Donee’s ID. You will then be prompted to save the Donee into your favourite list.

No. You can only donate to registered Donees on our platform.

No. The iDonatio Mobile App can only be used to donate to Donees registered on the iDonatio platform.

Yes, that is possible. You will however be charged a higher transaction fee for this.

Using the App

Yes. They must tap the “Login as another user” label on the Sign in page under the Sign in button.

Using some of your mobile devices’ hardware enables the iDonatio mobile App to work the way it was designed to work.

We collect your location data for analytics which will help us improve the platform.

The iDonatio mobile App can be used from anywhere in the world to donate to any Donee registered with the platform located anywhere in the world. The iDonatio platform is global.

The Donee favourite list contains Donees you have donated to in the past that you marked to be added to your favourite list and that you might want to donate to in the future. It also contains Donees you added without donating to.

Yes. You can remove a Donee from your favourite list at any time. You can add them back later.

You can delete your account at any time without giving iDonatio notice. Once deleted, you will not have access to your donations, so ensure you download all your donations before you delete your account. Also, note that you will not be able to use the email of the deleted account again on the iDonatio platform. To close your account, go to: Account  Manage Account under Other actions, tap Close account.

When you delete your account, your data will be kept for as long as necessary as required by regulations and described in our Privacy Policy.

Why do you charge transaction fees?

There are 3rd parties involved in processing transactions, maintaining your donations and personal identifiable data, from the payment gateway - Stripe, infrastructure provider – AWS, and card issuers. They all charge fees to cover their costs in maintaining the secure systems and architecture required. These are necessary costs that allows them to provide the service of securing your personal and bank details and, moving funds safely and securely from the Donor to the Donee’s bank account. On top of this is the iDonatio platform fees.

Payouts from Stripe

Your received donations will be deposited into your onboarded account with Stripe immediately by Stripe. Stripe determines when they transfer these funds into your bank account. This might take a maximum of seven working days. https://stripe.com/docs/payouts
